This report comes from www.whittierdailynews.com. The pilot was flying over a school area dropping leaflets. According to the report, when some leaflets got caught in the netting, the pilot reached back to remove them and got his hand hit by the prop. Two fingers were severed and the pilot wound up landing in/on a tree.
