Incident Details

March 30, 2006 Location of the incident: , Type of Incident:

Pilot’s LZ was situated so that to land into the wind he thought he would have to come down over the top of power lines. The pilot decided to land crosswind. The landing itself was no issue, it was the wing catching the wind and pulling the pilot repeatly sideways almost pulling the pilot to the ground, that is what cause a pulled back muscle. Lesson learned: the pilot should have thought through the landing pattern. He had room to come in parallel to the powerlines and then turn into the wind right before landing.
