Incident Details
October 3, 2007 Location of the incident: , Type of Incident:
After takeoff from tarmac (blacktop ramp) at airport, engine quit aprox 400 feet up on climbout. Made a left 360 and landed uneventfully. This problem has surfaced before. Engine would stop after about 10 to 15 mins. Sometimes after an hour. Engine was bought new 2 years ago. Time aprox 20 to 30 hours on engine. Seems like fuel problem. Will replace fuel filter and hose’s. Always keep a landing field in gliding distance and prepare for an engine out at anytime. Recommend changing fuel filter every 15 hour’s.
