Incident Details
January 1, 2006 Location of the incident: , Type of Incident:
The pilot was rounding a corner of the “cloverleaf” during a competition when another pilot on the ground pulled up his wing to kite. The competitor’s right wing hit the upcoming wing and collapsed over 50% of the competitor’s wing. He turned and descended immediately from about 30 feet, landing hard but in soft sand. Were it not such a soft surface the results would have been worse.
