Incident Details

June 2, 2009 Location of the incident: , Type of Incident:

Was preparing for takeoff, the only available spot was on concrete drive way. Did not pay much attention to the surface (concrete is concrete). There was absolutely no wind situation, so almost full throttle, ran like hell and next thing I know, 4 lines ripped apart, and attachment loop to the parachute is ripped out. What I found out later on, is my brake lines caught on some sharp rocks that were impregnated into concrete. Lesson for people, who does not check surface before take off, check for rocks or any other materials that can damage your equipment. Or your family members will not see the next paycheck.
