Incident Details
November 22, 2010 Location of the incident: , Type of Incident:
Warning: Keep your netting as tight as possible. As I was running with the glider I feel to the left side, as I hit the ground I put my left hand out to brace my fall ( I fly with my throttle in my left hand ) in doing so it cause the motor to go full throttle. This caused me to do a 180 face plant in the ground. As I spun around my right elbow hit the ground. This cuased my right hand to be pushed upward into the netting and into the prop. Nothing was damaged on my unit, except the netting was pulled away from the stitching. This was caused by my hand and the force of the propeller ripping the netting from the stitching. With out going into a whole lot of detail, this accident was all pilot error, but heed the warning if you fly with a fish type netting, KEEP YOU NETTING TIGHT. Sorry for such a late report , but I did want to get this out before the end of the year. Injurys 10 pins and a partial amputation of the ring finger.
