Incident Details
July 22, 2011 Location of the incident: , Type of Incident:
Details are sketchy. The pilot was indicated to be an experienced pilot flying at approximately 5pm. Sunset was just after 9pm local time. The day was unseasonably hot leading one to believe thermal activity could be a factor. The pilot had been flying for approximately 10 minutes. His canopy caught a tree/limb causing him to spin around into a parked car. According to an experienced USPPA Instructor who lives 75 miles away (did not know the accident pilot), it was very thermally that day.
