Incident Details

October 28, 2011 Location of the incident: , Type of Incident:

It was just another no wind forward launch. The wing came up straight, and was over head. I began to run full when the bottom left corner of the frame hit my right calf. I guess it hit just hard enough to cause the frame and cage to flex. The result was a prop strike on the lower right cage pole. Only a scuff mark on the cage pole but the prop will need repairing on one tip. The reason for this prop strike was loose straps on my harness. I have been flying this machine for over a year now and have never readjusted my harness. I think the straps have loosened them selfs a little at a time and have been this way for a while now. I have reviewed pictures and videos of my launches for the past few months and can see how the machine twist around on my back at full throttle. This will not happen with a properly adjusted harness. I will add harness straps to my pre flight check list.
