Incident Details

January 21, 2012 Location of the incident: , Type of Incident:

While waiting to take off at the Holland Beach Run fly-in another ppg pilot attempting a take off collided with me. He was airborne by a foot or so but was having difficulty steering. while applying full throttle he had put himself in a left turn primarily because his harness was too loose and the paramotor was twisted severely to the right side of his body. This brought him back across the flight line and into me and one additional flyer. His cage struck my helmet leaving a dent….glad I was wearing it…the event is recorded on youtube under “near fatal PPG crash” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82lWT3GJNHg&feature=plcp&context=C36065e2UDOEgsToPDskI6JvlwwWKVp5Vlzu5Ui9eN fortunately there was no damage to my aircraft and after re-setting I had a wonderful flight..
