Attempted to launch from a pasture that was full of sagebrush and on a hill. No wind was present. Attempted to launch off hill and did not have sufficient ground speed to maintain flight. Landed hard on left ankle at the bottom of the bottom of the hill. I went to clinic 18 hours later and they rated it as a severe sprain. I went to ortho doc the next day and he put me in a walking boot for two weeks. Lessons learned are; dont rush a launch. Pick a better launch site.
