Incident Details
November 7, 2014 Location of the incident: , Type of Incident:
I was out early one morning filming aerials in a light fog when power lines appeared out of nowhere. It was a very close call as they were virtually invisible until the last second. The power lines were not expected out in the middle of nowhere. And if one were not enough… here is another close call from a shoot last year and a potential danger for trike flyers. I took off (for the first time) from a field behind a friends house, arriving before dawn, so I did not notice the power lines. When I came back from the shoot I landed and continued to taxi back to my car and did not see the power lines until it was too late. Fortunately, I was not fried as my wing hit them. Taxi into power lines
