Incident Details
October 2, 2020 Location of the incident: , Type of Incident:
We were on our boat, which faces the road leading into Colonial Beach Yacht Club. We observed a pilot take off from the adjacent beach, and then we returned to work on our boat. Within a minute or two, we heard sirens. I looked out my open boat window and observed the parachute (red) tangled in trees, on the edge of the road. Local rescue worked on the man and put him on a backboard and transferred to a local hospital. When we saw him at takeoff, he had not reached a substantial loft. The crash site was mere feet from where he/she took off. Local law enforcement should have more information for your database.
