Equipment
I learned how to paraglide in New Zealand in 1999 and loved it. Unfortanately, with all the travel I did for work, it was almost 5 years before I even got into the air again. Then, while reading USHPA magazine, I read about powered paragliding and started doing research on the Internet. In March 2007, I flew to San Diego and met Michael Purdy who trained me and one other student over the next week in Baja Mexico. In that week, I made over 70 full flights and 30 touch-and-goes; the most of any student Michael had ever taught.
