8th Annual Indy Air Hogs Fly-in
Thursday, Sept 10th to Sunday, Sept 13th, 2015
2527 S Lake Rd S, Scottsburg, Indiana 47170
This fly-in is limited to PPG’s (including those with carts) for this event (sorry, no PPCs or other ultralights without prior approval). Rules are common sense, and there is no ratings requirement. No flying permitted without a signed waiver, briefing, and wristband. Primitive on-site camping is free and there’s plenty of room for RV’s (no hookups).
$30 registration includes camping, flying, and Saturday dinner. Fly-in t-shirts are discounted for registered pilots.
For more information contact: Brandon Oberlin at (317) 356-7664 or email [email protected]. A Facebook event page will allow everyone to see who’s coming.
……………………………………………………………….
Kind regards,
Brandon Oberlin

Paramotor event raises $6000 for Charity
On behalf of the entire fly-in committee, I want to extend our sincere appreciation for your registration and attendance.
The non-profit Palm Bay Paramotor Fly gives 100% of the proceeds, after expenses, to support the Palm Bay Police Department’s Victim Services Unit and the Police Explorers. Every penny spent – to purchase a cupcake, water, dinner, etc. goes straight to these programs.
Due to the extreme generosity of the pilots, friends and family, I am happy to report that this was $6,000.00 — funds that will go a long way in providing much needed assistance and recovery to help restore safety and security to crime victims and their children. Along with that, the Explorer program will continue to mentor, educate, and create our future leaders in law enforcement.
Please “save the date” for our 2016 annual Palm Bay Para Fly-in which will be held on April 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.
Again, thank you so much for choosing our event, sharing your love of the sport, and your generosity and support of two very impactful programs.
Blue skies and sunshine,
Dana Packard

Tests
All three PPG tests, 1 through 3, have been updated and uploaded to a new service that will bring back online testing so that USPPA instructors can offer this for their students.
For now the tests are being reviewed by volunteer instructors to look for errors, especially since the questions and answers have been updated.
The new service will allow instructors to print paper versions of their tests if they choose to go over them in a classroom environment. Graphics are displayed/printed beside each question that uses them.
Questions will now better reflect some of the changes in paramotoring over the last few years and more improvements will be made now that we have regained the ability to update and add.
One change is that tests will now be a maximum of 35 questions chosen at random from a bank of questions.
If all goes well the tests will be available by Mid April, just in time to have finished your taxes and moved on to more interesting endeavors!

2015 USPPA Convention PICTURES
Here are some pictures from this year’s USPPA Convention & Palm Bay Fly-in. Click on each for a larger version in a separate window. I was able to stroll around the field for about 2-3 hours capturing these images on Saturday morning, before I had to head out for the trek back to California. My apologies if I didn’t capture your image or perhaps I did and it didn’t expose correctly, either way it wasn’t intentional.
Hope you enjoy 🙂
