Provide adequate instruction
Sufficient for a specific need
Tailor your teaching techniques to each student. No two students are alike. Get to know your students and learn about their backgrounds, interests, personality, and way of thinking. Be prepared to change your teaching approach if you need to.
Some students learn slowly, and others learn quickly. A student requiring more time to learn also requires instructional methods that combine tact, keen perception, and delicate handling. Working with quick learners may require you to raise the standard of performance and demand greater effort.
Most new instructors tend to adopt the teaching methods used by their own instructors. They may have only been exposed to one teaching method (the one used on them). Remember: methods that work in one scenario may not be effective in another scenario. New instructors should learn various teaching styles and methods and strive to develop their own teaching skills.
